About this app

The simple way to share photos.

POWER TO THE PEOPLE
The content you see is determined by people, not a magic algorithm. The more upvotes on a post and the later the post was created, the higher up it appears.
Discover photography across an unlimited number of categories, or create your own category with just a few taps.
See chronological content by people you follow in one place.
No ads means less clutter in the feed and the content you see is truly organic, rather than paid for.

A SIMPLE PLACE JUST FOR PHOTOS
No video content. There are already other apps for that, and we don’t want to just copy someone else.
No hashtags. Stop spending 5 minutes for every post coming up with a bunch to get more views. That doesn’t work here.
Private follower lists. No more of that “follow me follow back” nonsense. Only follow people whose content you actually want to see without being afraid someone will get mad at you for not following them.
No shop tab. We’re not really sure why someone would include a tab like this.

FIND SIMILAR INTEREST GROUPS
Photo based chat rooms. So you can talk about the photos you just shared with a group of people who are interested in that type of photo.
Moderator tools to help you manage your own rooms. Someone spamming the group? Kick them. Want to make a room private? Add a password. And more to come.

Hmmm. I really want to give this five stars because I've been waiting for this for ages; it would be nice to bin Instagram altogether. However the navigation and editing need some work. You can only edit the caption, not the category. You can only enter one category. Street and Film Photography, for example, are not mutually exclusive but you can only choose one. With a couple of uploads I forgot to include a category and now I can't add them retrospectively. Hope these glitches are ironed out.

We plan to address category editing and number of categories per post in an upcoming patch. These changes will probably be ready within two weeks. We'd like for this to be sooner, but a lot of people have been requesting a lot of features and bug fixes, and we only have so much bandwidth. Sorry for the delay!

Doesn't do much and what it does doesn't do well. The photos are structure in categories (nature, street) and each can have only one category. You can subscribe to categories and browse them individually. The app is very opaque - what are the pics ordered by? It crops all of the images implicitly to leave over half of the screen for comments. The UX is a bit awkward too: to go to the authors page you need to click on the photo and then click on the user even when username is right there under

The pics are ordered by the user votes divided by a function of the post's age. You can press and hold an image to view it in full size. Admittedly we should have an onboarding flow to explain these things, but we haven't done that yet. Tapping the username of a comment or caption to go to the profile will be available in build 1.3.0.

Well so far it's fantastic, small community but growing, the developer is active and responds to feed back well. The app it's self is kind of no frills photo sharing, works kind of like reddit where you can upvote or down vote photos. You can do the usual following of users, DMs and less private chatrooms where you can discuss openly and public. I don't believe there is an algorithm, you follow catagories and users you like and you will be shown those things. I like it.

Thanks for the 5 star! There actually is an algorithm - the posts are ranked based on the user votes divided by a function of the age of the post, and the rank determines the order you see the posts in the discover que. But that's the extent of the algorithm; we don't do any more magic behind the scenes.
